Checktel Call Recorder Software
May be installed on multiple PCs without extra purchased licenses
Checktel offers sophisticated software to easily find and listen to your recorded calls
Two Windows software packages are supplied with the Checktel Call Recorder: one package is to be installed on a Windows system and takes care of the actual recording. The other package can be installed on one or more Windows workstations for searching for and listening to the recorded calls.
The first software application takes care of the recording of your telephone calls and offers options for various settings, including the retention period, incoming or outgoing and whether or not certain numbers and / or telephone devices can be recorded.
The second software package is intended to search and listen to your recorded conversations. It is the Checktel call browser and media player.
Checktel Recording Software
With the Checktel recording software you can set which conversations are recorded. These can be all calls, both incoming and outgoing, but also, for example, only incoming or outgoing calls.
Depending on the telephone situation, it’s possible to set which devices should or should not be recorded and even which telephone numbers.
The recorded telephone calls can be kept for as long as desired, at no extra cost.
After a user-defined time period, for example a month, three days or a few years, the system automatically deletes the calls that do not need to be saved.
Possible settings include: excluding certain phone numbers and / or devices, depending on the phone situation. Also, for example, only incoming or outgoing calls.
The following call details are recorded and stored in the file:
time of hiring accurate to the second
call duration
- dialed number
- call number (if known)
- incoming or outgoing
The call details are part of the file and are therefore retained even if the call is copied to another folder or medium, for example a USB stick.

Checktel Call Browser & Media Player
This software is intended to search and listen to the recorded calls.
You can search for details of the call: dialed number, number of the caller, date, time, call duration and incoming or outgoing. You can copy the conversations to another folder or storage medium, for example a USB stick or to put a conversation on an audio CD.
Checktel Call Browser and Media Player
The call browser and media player can be installed on multiple Windows PCs and is license free. This software can be installed on all PCs that may have access to the recorded calls.
You can search for different call characteristics:
- period where the conversation took place
- Inbound, outbound or both
- the full number
- part of the song: start, end or part
- international calls
The call characteristics are part of the file and are therefore retained even if the call is copied to another folder or medium, for example a USB stick.
Is the recorded phone call authentic?
Checktel offers an important feature to check the integrity of the conversation. Every recorded conversation contains a digital signature. This can be used to determine if the conversation is authentic or if it has been manipulated. This also applies to call characteristics such as dialed number, date and time.
